FAQ

Explore Commercial Property, property-owner Commercial General Liability, and the Community Association Package. Landlord and portfolio reviews help identify eligible options for each property.
Commercial Property covers eligible buildings at replacement cost and can include an elected limit for furniture, equipment, and stock. Business income and extra expense, water backup, and increased ordinance or law coverage are optional. Coverage depends on the selected limits, covered causes of loss, exclusions, and conditions. The product starts with a single commercial building; additional locations require review, and wind coverage does not apply at unscheduled locations.
This CGL product is for apartment owners and shopping-center lessors, not general small-business operations. It covers eligible third-party bodily injury and property-damage claims. Defense costs count toward the policy limit, reducing the amount left for settlements and judgments. Apartment deductibles also apply to defense costs. Shopping-center eligibility includes tenant uses, occupancy, and property-management requirements.
No. The Community Association Package excludes California wildfire through an attached policy endorsement. This restriction is specific to that package; the separate Wildfire Liability offering should not be assumed to cover an association's property losses.
Commercial Property offers wind and hail deductibles of 1%, 2%, 3%, 5%, or 10% of insured value, with a $25,000 minimum. Association terms depend on community type and location. Condo and co-op wind deductibles are percentage-based in wind-exposed states; where a flat-dollar wind deductible is offered for an HOA, townhome, or master association, the minimum is $5,000. Your quote and policy specify the applicable deductible.
Commercial Property, property-owner Commercial General Liability, and the Community Association Package are issued by Corgi Insurance Company on a non-admitted, surplus lines basis and placed through a licensed surplus lines broker. Applicable surplus lines taxes and fees are added to the premium. These policies are not protected by state insurance guaranty funds. This description does not apply to every product offered by Corgi.
Pricing uses the information in your application, and some submissions require underwriting review or additional documents before a quote or coverage can be confirmed. Commercial Property and Community Association applications may need further review. An application or quoted price does not start coverage; check the binder or issued policy for confirmation and the effective date.
The five cards are not one bundle. Commercial Property and property-owner Commercial General Liability are separate products. The Community Association Package includes property coverage, with general liability available as an option. D&O and crime are optional for HOA, townhome, and master associations only, and require general liability. Landlord and rental-portfolio reviews are inquiries, not separate policies.
Commercial Property, property-owner Commercial General Liability, and the Community Association Package are available to eligible applicants in Alaska, Alabama, California, Colorado, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Wyoming, and Washington, D.C. Eligibility also depends on the property and product. These products are not offered outside those jurisdictions, including Georgia. An inquiry or quote is not confirmation that coverage has started.
Property policies can be changed mid-term by endorsement, subject to review and the policy terms. Request changes to insured property, limits, or named parties before assuming they are covered. Ask Corgi for the right service contact. For claims, follow the reporting instructions in your policy documents.
